Bonjour mes amis! Florence and Matthieu are out for dinner tonight so Im babysitting! Perfect opportunity to fill you all in. Dimanche, Sunday, Antton turned 3! How exciting! We had a little get together with Matthieu's parents, Nicole and Jean-Claude (how French right?) and Antton's godfather, his wife and their adorable little girl, Staline. I would have pictures to show you all but my camera died and my charger was stuck in postal limbo for a week! I was bummed because there were so many cute moments that I wanted to capture! He got lots of fun presents and I also learned Happy Birthday in French! Yay! An interesting cultural note, the French dont frost their cakes! I asked Florence about waiting for the cake to cool so we could frost it and she said, Oh, frosting is an "American thing"! Interesting, right?
Every Wednesday, Florence has a day off from work. Which is great because I dont have to wake up early and we get some time to relax. Today, we went out with the kids in the morning and did some grocery shopping. It was a beautiful sunny day and I enjoyed being out and about with Florence and the kids. Ps I kinda look like a midget. I was leaning down, if you can tell. Im not THAT short.
Arent they adorable?! After we went grocery shopping, we came home and got the kids lunch. And I went out for a walk. Where did I go? You ask. Oh, just the CHAMPS-ELYSEES! It's a fifteen-twenty min walk away and I was pretty excited. It's a HUGE tourist area and the amount of people walking around was crazy! Here are some pictures!
Hope you enjoyed these! Now all I need is a buddy to explore with so I can actually be in some of these pictures! I hope you are all well! I miss you guys!
Awesome! So French, indeed. I have a French aunt and I never picked up on the whole anti-frosting thing. Glad you're having fun hanging out at the Champs, etc. Sooo jealous!
